Hello, my name is Hennon Cooper. I am a transfer student that currently attends Texas State University as a Family and Consumer science major with a minor in business management. I am a native of Cedar Hill Texas, a suburb of Dallas.
Growing up my mother played the piano for my church, and I learned to play the drums. I eventually became our church`s drummer and improved my skills by watching and learning from other drummers. This sparked my love for music and now when I travel, I try to experience the live music venues in whatever area it may be.
I have had the opportunity to travel many states and experience a lot of live performances. The city of Austin’s music scene is all new to me. I have been told Austin has the best music in the state. Now I must see for myself. I will go out and explore different places and blog about my experiences.
I will cover many different genres of music and different venues from underground jazz bars to this year’s South by Southwest concert. I will give detail about the different venue’s atmosphere, explaining if it is more of a nightclub, concert or just a restaurant with live music. I will also discuss things such as the food, service and overall if I had a good time or not. I might even interview a few locals who go out casually in Austin.
Austin has many tourists and a large population. I’m sharing this blog for potential tourists, people that live in Austin or college students looking for something to do on the weekend. This blog is for people who loves music, or someone just wants to get out and experience live music in the city of Austin Texas.
